Teshana James

Former President’s College student Teshana James (second from left) was on Wednesday accepted to the bar. Her petition was presented before Acting Chief Justice Ian Chang (left) by attorney-at-law Kim Kyte-John (centre).  The new lawyer obtained her LL.B in 2008 before going on to the Hugh Wooding Law School, where she graduated with a Certificate in Legal Education.
While at the Hugh Wooding Law School she excelled academically capturing the Justice Jessel Hannays Memorial Prize for the (Best Performance in Remedies 2008-2009), the Chairman’s Prize (Evidence and Forensic Medicine, Law of Remedies and Civil Practice and Procedure II0 2009-2010, and the Government of Guyana Prize  (Best Performance by a Guyanese student) 2009-2010 which she shared with another student.  Also in the photograph are Teshana’s parents: Paul James (second from right) and Glendene Reis (right).
