Guyana Rice Producers Association President Leekha Rambrich was today shot with pellets two miles down the Bengal, Corentyne backdam by an elderly man with a shotgun.
He sustained injuries to the right side of his chest. The No 51 Police responded; arrested the man and recovered a spent shell and 3 live cartridges. Rambrich is not in serious condition.
