The three police officers who successfully apprehended a man who was later found to have a bag of weapons, were commended and awarded $20,000 each for their bravery by GEB Security Services.
CEO of GEB Maurice Amres handed over cheques to the three police officers during a visit to New Amsterdam, Berbice recently. Amres commended the officers on their initiative and bravery in making what turned out to be a significant arrest, reminded them of the importance of their responsibilities and urged them to keep up the good work.
