The Guyana Defence Force has established its first Day Care Centre and the service is expected to boost the proficiency of single mothers in particular as they will be assured of their children’s well-being while they are on duty.
The facility, officially named the Margaret Rose-Arthur Centre after the first female soldier to enlist in the GDF, will provide services to the children of serving members of the Force, a release from the GDF said yesterday.
