(BBC) A Cuban government sponsored pilot project to treat diabetic foot ulcers has been hailed as a major success following trials in St Lucia.
St Lucia is the only country in the Eastern Caribbean to benefit from the initiative.
The project is based on the use of a so-called wonder drug, Heberprot-P, developed by the Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology in Cuba.
