Moleson Creek man charged with killing mother-in-law

At the Springlands Court yesterday, Magistrate Krishndat Persaud remanded a Moleson Creek labourer to prison when he appeared before him charged with murdering his mother-in-law. It is alleged that on November 30, Alston Henry, 26, called ‘Black Boy’ murdered Jennifer Thomas, 49 at her Moleson Creek, Corentyne home. He was not required to plead to the capital offence. Police Prosecutor Sergeant Michael Grant told the court that around 6:30 pm, Henry went to the woman’s home and reportedly slashed her throat with a knife.

He said too that Henry and his wife had a misunderstanding the previous day and she moved out of their home and went to stay with her mother. Reports are that just before the incident, the man’s wife left the home
