Prince Charles to continue as Iwokrama patron

Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales has renewed his commitment to support the work of the Iwokrama International Centre (IIC) in sustainable rainforest management by continuing to be its Patron for a further five years.

According to a release from Iwokrama, ”His Royal Highness has been a strong supporter of its work to develop modern rainforest conservation practices and new approaches to valuing the ecosystem services and its benefit to mankind.”

Edward Glover, Chairman of the Iwokrama Board of Trustees said that “the Prince of Wales’s strong personal support and continued commitment mean so much to all of us at Iwokrama.”

The Prince of Wales first became a Patron in 2000 and renewed his commitment in 2005.
