The Developmental Meet which was to be hosted in Linden this Sunday has been relocated to the Police Sports Club (PSC) Ground, Eve Leary, according to President of the Athletics Association of Guyana (AAG) Colin Boyce.
The event was originally scheduled to be held at the Mackenzie Sports Club (MSC) Ground, Linden. However, Boyce, speaking with Stabroek Sport yesterday Boyce explained that another event is expected to be held at the MSC venue the Saturday evening before and it is not expected that the ground would be ready in time for the meet the following morning. “We’re hoping to have it shifted to the Police Sports Club Ground because on the evening of the 29th there is expected to be an event at the ground making it impossible to hold the meet the next day, on the 30th. They will have to dismantle the stage and things like that the next day, and the ground would not be ready in time,” Boyce explained.
