Ray Edinborough, accused of stealing a pair of jeans from a city boutique, was yesterday charged with simple larceny when he appeared before acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
It was alleged that on January 26, at Robb Street, Edinborough, of 45 West Ruimveldt, stole a pair of ladies jeans worth $6,500, from Colours Boutique.
Edinborough, a vendor, told the court that he did not steal anything and he was accused wrongfully by the store’s guard
