Digicel sets sights on Mash ‘royalty’

Digicel launched its 2011 Costume and Mash band on Friday, while promising to bring “royalty” to the streets.

At the launch at the company’s Barrack Street, Kingston headquarters, Digicel’s Sponsorship and Events Manager Gavin Hope explained that the royalty was a natural choice for the theme of this year’s band, since the company treats all its customers like royalty. He noted that the dominant colour of the costumes is purple, which is associated with royalty. “Last year we were victorious in four categories and second in one. This year we’re going for everything,” Hope said.
