Twenty-three-year-old Doodnauth Persaud, the East Coast Demerara (ECD) motorcyclist who was hospitalized following a vehicular accident on Saturday night, succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday evening.
The young mans’ father Rooplall Persaud told Stabroek News yesterday at the family’s Lot 2 Cherry Field, La Bonne Intention home, that the second of his three children passed away shortly after 7:30 two nights ago at the Intensive Care Unit of the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH), where he had been a patient since the accident.
He said his son’s injuries were “too severe” for him to recover and the family is now awaiting the results of the police investigation
