Shot teen burglary suspect discharged from hospital

The 17-year-old burglary suspect who was shot at a service station at Mahaica on Tuesday was discharged from Georgetown Hospital yesterday while his accomplice is recovering after undergoing surgery.

Stabroek News understands that the teen, whose address has been given as of ‘D’ Field, Sophia, is in police custody assisting with investigations. When this newspaper visited the hospital, the teen’s accomplice, Sean Sinclair, a taxi driver of Pattensen, East Coast Demerara, was asleep. His right foot was heavily bandaged. He remains under police guard.
