Relief council helps out Grove families

The Guyana Relief Council (GRC) on Thursday made presentations to three families who were the victims of recent disasters that damaged their homes.

Donations were made at the GRC headquarters to Gaitree Doodnauth, 59, who lost her 597 Cummings Lodge, Greater Georgetown home, as a result of a fire on February 9. Doodnauth was presented with a cheque of $50,000 and was given a package consisting of food items, kitchen utensils and a mattress prior to the monetary donation.

Doodnauth’s neighbour, Perella Waithe, also received
