Parika boat operator stabbed in neck by constable

A pre-birthday celebration for a 56-year old speed-boat operator turned into a nightmare on Saturday night after he was stabbed in the neck by a police constable.

According to the police, investigations are being conducted into the incident in which Clyde Daniels, 56, of Parika, East Bank Essequibo (EBE), was allegedly stabbed to his neck with a broken bottle by a police constable during an altercation between them at a liquor restaurant in the area. The injured man has since been admitted a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH).

According to Daniels, who resides along the Parika Highway with relatives, around 7 pm on Saturday evening he decided to “take a drink” with his brother
