Ganga leads T&T fight with patient half-century

KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC – Captain Daren Ganga carved out a responsible, unbeaten half-century to lead a strong Trinidad and Tobago response on the second day of their sixth round Regional First Class Championship clash against Jamaica yesterday.

The right-handed Ganga, his side’s leading run-scorer this season, was unbeaten on a fine 75 at the close at Sabina Park as T&T reached 172 for three in reply to Jamaica’s 356 all out.

Resuming at their overnight 297 for five, Jamaica lost their last five wickets for 31 runs with Wavell Hinds extending his unbeaten 131 to 162 and Dave Bernard Jr. getting 70.
