Taxi driver remanded over gunpoint robbery

A taxi driver was on Tuesday remanded to prison when he appeared before acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on a charge of robbery under arms to which he pleaded not guilty.

It is alleged that Leron Griffith of 3 Ketley Street, on March 19 at Georgetown, robbed Clarence Foster of jewellery and cell phones, valued at $600,000.
