DCC celebrates Barnwell’s selection to West Indies T20 squad

The Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) extends congratulations to Christopher Barnwell on his selection to the West Indies squad for the Twenty20 International against Pakistan later this month.

In a press release from the Queenstown-based club, it said 24-year-old Barnwell is another one of its protégé’s to represent the West Indies “following in the footsteps of Clive Lloyd, Lance Gibbs, the late Roy Fredericks, Roger Harper and, in more recent times, Keith Semple and Travis Dowlin.” He scored 229 runs and took nine wickets from 15 matches and is a “pugnacious hitter of the ball” who has batted in many positions for his country, the Club said.

Barnwell is also a competent medium fast bowler
