The Athletics Association of Guyana (AAG) will now field a seven-man squad to the 40th edition of the Carifta Games in Jamaica from April 23-25 as 100 and 200 metres junior champion, Chavez Ageday was withdrawn by his coach Raymond Daw yesterday.
Ageday, who pulled his right hamstring with some 40 metres to go in the men’s final of the 100 metres at the Under-23 games last Sunday, suffered from some muscle spasms causing the sprinter’s misfortune, according to Daw.
