A 12-year-old boy, of Bush Lot, West Coast Berbice, was rescued in the nick of time after he attempted to hang himself yesterday.
His 18-year-old sister, who lives nearby, said she found her brother on the ground with the rope around his neck. He was also frothing, his eyes were turned up and his feet were “stiff.” She immediately slackened the rope to relieve his neck. She and her in-laws then took him over to their shack and gave him “sugar water and ah bathe he.”
