Five men, including three Jamaicans, remain in police custody as investigators continue to probe how they came to be in possession of an unlicensed gun, a quantity of ammunition and items suspected to be stolen.
Crime Chief Seelall Persaud, during a telephone interview, yesterday told Stabroek News that the Jamaicans did not offer explanations as to why they were in Guyana and one might have overstayed his time here. Persaud said investigators have since sought help from their Jamaican counterparts in dealing with the matter. At the moment, he said,
