Essequibo rice mill worker loses arm in industrial accident

A 45-year-old Anna Regina machine operator was on Sunday afternoon admitted to the Suddie Hospital following an industrial accident at his worksite during which he lost part of his right hand.

Reports are that Toolsie Ram, a father of three of Anna Regina on the Essequibo Coast, was working close to a dryer at his place of employment at the Caricom Rice Mills when his hand became stuck in the machine.
