A 37-year-old man died yesterday at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) after he was beaten the night before at Lusignan, East Coast Demerara.
Ramjeet ‘Krishna’ Dindiyal, 37, according to a police press release, was walking along the roadway around 10:00pm when he was struck behind his head by a man. The suspect, the release said, is in police custody.
Dindiyal’s aunt Golin, with whom he spent most of his days, told this newspaper that her nephew was at her home playing dominoes earlier on in the day but left around 5 pm with two of his friends from the neighbourhood.
