Cops search for driver after Lamaha St fatal collision

Police are now searching for the driver of a car that was involved in a fatal collision early this morning at the junction of David and Lamaha streets, in Kitty.
Akeem Moffett, 29, of South Ruimveldt Park, Georgetown, died as a result of injuries he sustained, when the car he was travelling in was hit by another car around 1am.
Police said a car, bearing licence number PMM 3023, was proceeding along Lamaha Street, Kitty, when it collided with another car, bearing licence number PLL 4430, at the junction with David Street. Moffett, an occupant of PLL 4430, received injuries and later succumbed at the Georgetown Hospital.
Efforts are being made to locate the driver of PMM 3023, who fled the scene, police said.
