A woman who was charged for procuring females in Guyana to become prostitutes was yesterday placed on $1M bail after she appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
The allegation is that between March and June 29 at Club Copa Cabana which is located at Lot 33 Cummings Street, Alberttown, Georgetown, Maria Do Soeona procured the five women to become common prostitutes.
