Demerara Cricket Club in charge after first day of Division One Clash

Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) closed the opening day of the Carib Beer first-division two-day encounter against Guyana National Industrial Co-Operation (GNIC) with a commanding 176-run lead on first innings, at the DCC Ground, Queenstown, yesterday.

Batting first, led by a pair of half-centuries by recently selected Guyana opener and West Indies Twenty20 wicket-keeper, Trevon Griffith and Derwin Christian who scored 58 and 55 respectively, DCC were bowled out for 235 in 44.3 overs.
