A Brazilian national, who allegedly beat his lover to death, was yesterday slapped with a murder charge.
Raimundo Santos Freitas Barbosa, 51, is accused of murdering Elaine Suza Santos on Wednesday, October 5 at Piari Backdam. He was not required to plead to the capital charge when it was read to him by acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
