Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry granted $40,000 bail to a minibus driver accused of hitting his passenger with a lug spanner to her head, when he yesterday appeared in court.
The Georgetown Magistrates’ Court heard that on October 5, 38-year-old Marcel Beaton, of Lot 543 Good Hope, assaulted Ulanda Thomas so as to cause her actual bodily harm. The defendant pleaded not guilty when the charge was read to him.
