North Essequibo Warriors and Hotel Tower West Demerara Cavaliers secured wins in the opening round of the Essequibo Zone in the nationwide 11-team Carib/Pepsi Twenty20 Big Smash competition at the Anna Regina Community Center Ground on Sunday.
In the first game, Hotel Tower West Demerara Cavaliers defeated North Essequibo Warriors by 28 runs.
