Today is International Day of People with Disabilities and this year the event is being observed under the theme ‘Together for a better world for all including persons with disabilities in development.’
According to a release from the National Commission on Disability (NCD), the day, which is observed by approximately 50,000 Guyanese who live with a disability, reminds the populace to be inclusive in its planning for the development of the country’s future and to work together towards an improved life for everyone.
