Albouystown man also remanded over gunpoint robbery of Laing Avenue housewife

Another man appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court yesterday charged with the armed robbery of Laing Avenue, Georgetown, housewife Fayeanna Lewis.

Bernard James, 21, of Lot 158 Albouystown, is accused of robbing Lewis at gunpoint of gold jewellery and cell phones, among other items and cash, totalling $583,000 in value. The man was not required to plead to the indictable charge when it was read to him by acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.
