Jamaica police find severed head believed to be of leading gang member

(Jamaica Gleaner) The police yesterday morning found the severed head of a male believed to be that of Navardo Hodges, a leading member of the Clansman gang.

The gruesome find was made earlier yesterday morning in the vicinity of the Sagicor Spanish Town Shopping Centre in St. Catherine.

The head was found with a gunshot wound. His body was found along the Spanish Town By-pass

The police say Navardo Hodges was beheaded some time on Tuesday night.

At the time of his death the police had a reward of $500,000 for Hodges.

He was wanted for several murders in the St Catherine North Division, especially Spanish Town.

Hundreds of residents converged in Spanish Town to get a glimpse of the remains.

The police had to work very hard to cordon off roads and redirect traffic.
