Ten interns in training at Georgetown hospital

The management and staff of the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) welcomed ten new medical interns for year-long training in several of its departments.

Guided by GPHC’s Consultants, Registrars and Heads of Departments the interns will be trained in paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, ortho-paedics, internal medicine, general surgery, psychiatry and anaesthesia, a press release said. Each intern will be evaluated in areas of attitude, knowledge, practical and cognitive skills and must complete and present a research paper during this period.
