One week ago, Vanessa Wilson, 30, of Weldaad, West Coast Berbice and her three children, ages four, nine and 11 were left homeless when the house they were living in was gutted by fire.
Wilson, who said the house did not have electricity, was away at work while the children were at school when the fire started around midday. She said she had ensured that the stove was turned off before leaving home.
