Commissioning service: The Guyana Defence Force (GDF) on Monday hosted a commissioning service for the 15 officers who were part of the Standard Officers’ Course #44 at the auditorium, Base Camp, Ayanganna, Thomas Lands. The ceremony commenced with prayers from the Hindu, Christian, and Muslim faiths; followed by a sermon by Rev. Marlon Hestick from the Vreed-en-Hoop Wesleyan Church, who admonished the ensigns on the importance of performing the duties to which they will be assigned.
