Shot St Rose’s girl can’t have bullet removed just yet

The St. Rose’s High School student who was on Wednesday evening shot and robbed of her cell phone in Thomas Street, Kitty will have to remain with the bullet lodged in her arm indefinitely since surgery now may cause further damage.

Sasha Gilhuys’ father Lester yesterday told Stabroek News that after consultations with several doctors he was informed that should the girl undergo surgery now she runs the risk of being permanently handicapped in the left hand. He explained that because of the critical positioning of the bullet between vital nerves and tissues doctors indicated that the
