Quartet accused of Cummings Lodge terror placed on bail

The four men accused of terrorizing the Cummings Lodge community yesterday made their second appearance at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Alex Moore and were placed on $100,000 bail each.

Orlando Samuels, 22 years; Ricardo April, 22 years; Quincy Bentick, 22 years; and Jamal Munroe, 17 years were all arrested and charged for a number of robberies committed in the area. Samuels and April were jointly charged with robbery under arms, committed on Vivian Rookhum and Frederick Cheong. Samuels and Munroe were jointly charged with robbery under arms committed on Mohamed Khan, Samuels was also charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition without licence and robbery under arms committed on Savitri Bhola. Bentick and April were charged with robbery with violence committed on Akbar Ali and Amanda Bovell.
