Demerara Cricket Club’s `A’ team showed why they are rated ahead of their `B’ side when they defeated them comfortably by 53 runs in the seventh round game of the Brainstreet U-15 competition which was played last weekend.
The initial game between the two sides, who are both among the top four sides in the competition, was washed out.
The `B’ side scored 102 all out in 29.2 overs as Keanu Harry collected 4 for 42 from 8 overs. He was supported by Travis Persaud who took 2 for 17, after Tevin Imlach, who scored 76 from 107 balls and Namunchandra Persaud whose 48 from 120 balls, had batted the `A’ team to 156-1 in 39.3 overs.
