Office assistant charged with stealing from Rohee

An office assistant at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court yesterday was placed on $75,000 bail by  Magistrate Hazel Octave-Hamilton after he was accused of stealing half a million dollars from the Minister of Home Affairs.

Semion Kissoon, 20, of Grove Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara, was charged with simple larceny after he allegedly stole $500,000 from Home Affairs Minister Clement Rohee between May 17-21 while being  employed
