Trinidad hikers trekking to Kaieteur Falls

The Guyana Tourism Authority (GTA) on Saturday welcomed 30 hikers from Trinidad and Tobago ahead of their four-day trek to Kaieteur Falls.

According to a GTA press release, the group from Caribbean Hiking Adventures group aims to “conquer” the Caribbean islands hiking destinations. Leader Richard Lewis said, “Everything we have done so far has been preparing us for this trip. We know that Guyana is part of the Amazon Basin and will be like no other trip we have taken.”

The trip was facilitated by Frank Singh, the owner of Rainforest Tours, who promised the group a memorable adventure when he welcomed them. Lewis said the group chose to visit
