Dennis Abrams, the alleged accomplice of the man killed while trying to steal a transformer at the Guyana National Industrial Corporation (GNIC) wharf, in the city, on Sunday, was on Thursday arraigned on a simple larceny charge.
Abrams, 44, who identified himself as a vendor from Mahaicony, was denied bail in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court by Magistrate Hazel Octave-Hamilton.
It was alleged that on May 27, at the GNIC wharf, at Lombard Street, he stole a transformer valued $350,000. No further details of the case were released in court, however, police had reported that the
