A 12-year-old girl who was raped by her stepfather gave birth to a healthy baby via Caesarean Section at the Georgetown Hospital last week and is said to be resting comfortably.
Stabroek News understands that the birth occurred either last Wednesday or Thursday.
A source close to the case told this newspaper yesterday that the Child Care and Protection Agency (CCPA) had known about the child’s situation for some time now. The child, the source said,
