Murdered fisherman stabbed through heart, autopsy finds

A post-mortem examination performed on the remains of fisherman Vishwanauth Narine, who was stabbed to death last Friday, revealed that he died as a result of a perforated heart due to a single stab wound.

Narine, 23, called “Buddy,” of Lot 6 Plastic City, Vreed-en-Hoop, West Coast Demerara was stabbed once to his chest during a row over a missing gas cylinder. He was later pronounced dead on arrival at the West Demerara Regional Hospital. The suspect and his wife, who are also of Plastic City, are both on the run, according to a police source.
