Guyanese man held in big Jamaica cocaine bust

A Guyanese man who attempted to leave Jamaica with cocaine valued at J$9.5 million is under investigation by detectives from the Trans National Crime and Narcotics Division, according to yesterday’s Jamaica Gleaner.

The Customs Department said the 24 pounds of cocaine was found in a video game belonging to the man, who was slated to board a flight at the Norman Manley Inter-national Airport on Monday.

Customs said the man was travelling on a Guyanese passport. The report said that  he initially cleared customs with a
