Everest Cricket Club yesterday defeated the Friends and Former Guyana Cricketers (FFGC) team in the second of the two memorial T20 games organized by the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) in honour of the late DCC and Guyana opening batsman Andrew Lyght.
Everest Cricket Club won the match by eight wickets.
On a day blessed with sunshine and watched by Clive ‘Super Cat’ Lloyd, umpire Lynden Matthews and former Test Umpire Eddie Nicholls were the umpires as the Friends and Former Guyana Cricketers team batted first and worked their way to 127.
