Director-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Antigua and Barbuda, Anthony Liverpool, on Monday applauded Japan for being one of the few countries to date to have provided its full pledge to Haiti after the January 2012 earthquake.
Japan, he stated, had pledged and delivered the sum of US$100 million to the Haiti reconstruction programme, after that country was hit by a major earthquake, said a press release from the Caricom Secretariat at Turkeyen.
