President Donald Ramotar yesterday sent special greetings and congratulations to the Government and people of Jamaica on the significant occasion of their 50th anniversary of independence.
President Ramotar, according to a copy of his message to Jamaica Prime Minister Portia Simpson-Miller made available by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the “tremendous success by the Jamaican athletes Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Usain Bolt at the London Olympics is a fitting tribute to a nation which is celebrating such a significant milestone in its history.”
