Queen’s College student, 18-year-old Navindra Baldeo, said that he was blown away after learning that he had performed so well at CAPE even though he was recognized as the Caribbean’s top performer in the Sciences two years ago when he wrote CXC.
“I didn’t expect to so well… I am very surprised… when I wrote CXC I wasn’t expecting that one either,” the enthusiastic student told Stabroek News. He said preparing for exams was tedious work and he went to many extra lessons and studied along with friends who lent tremendous support. “My friends were there for me the most…we would usually get together and study so they were very supportive… Also, my teachers and my mom, everyone,” he said.
