Promoting a violence-free environment

Promoting a violence-free environment: These youths from the US and Guyana will today participate in a one-day youth conference at the Pegasus Hotel which would see them making presentations on harassment and sexual bullying, sexual abuse, rape, domestic violence and race, including racial tolerance. A presentation on the work done by youths from Trinidad will also be made.
The conference, organized by Irene Madray Recreational Arts and Resources Centre (IMRAC) the Caribbean American Domestic Violence Awareness (CADVA), is being held under the theme  ‘International Youth Conference Against the Contagion of Violence 2010: Reshaping and Mobilising our Youths from Intervention to Prevention.’ The conference, which organizers said is fully booked and no walk-ins can gain entry at least for the morning session, is being dedicated to the memory of Neesa Lalita Gopaul who was brutally murdered in 2010.
