A toddler who was walking over to her uncle’s house died after she fell into a drain and drowned at Timmers Dam, Angoy’s Avenue, New Amsterdam last evening.
Okeshia Thomas called ‘Princess’, who was one year and six months old, was the only child of her parents, Otheia Thomas and Nakaice Blair. Her lifeless body was pulled from the trench after 6 pm yesterday. Her parents were inconsolable and her father was up to late last night with the police after he went to make a report at the Central Police station in New Amsterdam.
According to reports, the young child was going to visit her uncle who lives opposite her parent’s home on the other side of Timmers Dam. She safely crossed the bridge from her parent’s home but
