Members of the United Women for Special Children (UWSC) visited Cheshire Homes in Mahaica last Thursday and donated supplies for the residents of the newly-formed semi-independent living facilities for youth and adults with mental and physical disabilities.
The women’s group donated $366, 618 for the procurement of living and household items for the Cheshire Homes, the UWSC said in a press release. These goods included six single beds with mattresses, a hair clipper, one microwave, one seven-piece dinette set and one writing desk.
